Characteristics
A small scorpionfish with a body length of about 10 cm. It is characterized by its bright red body and fins. The head is reddish-brown, with white bands around the back of the neck and the base of the caudal fin. The body has white spots here and there.
Ecology
Inhabits shallow reefs and tidal pools, clinging to and under rocks. Eat small fish and crustaceans.
Habitat
Miura Peninsula Arasaki
When I dive, I often see them clinging to rocks. Depending on the rocks it clings to, its red body color stands out. Quiet.
