The spectacled damselfish has a white band at the base of its caudal fin.
Inhabits shallow reefs. Work alone, not in groups.
I found it in the shade of a rock at a depth of about 2m in Arasaki. When viewed from above, the orange color of the body was conspicuous. It was a juvenile fish and did not run away even when the camera was brought close.
