Characteristics
A red and white shrimp about 5 cm long. It has bright colors. There are fine spines on the surface of the body. The sense of touch also appears longer.
The Japanese name "Otohime" comes from the gorgeous appearance that reminded me of Otohime.
Ecology
It inhabits shallow sea reefs and cleans other fish. The individual I photographed was with a lionfish. They sometimes live in pairs in the shade of rocks.
Habitat
Niijima Maehama
I took a picture of him in the shade of rocks on the foreshore. When I moved the rock to take a closer look, a giraffe mino appeared. It looks like they were spending time together.
Ishigaki Island
When I looked into the shade of the rock during diving, a pair was lurking.
