Ecology

Found on reefs and coral reefs in tropical seas. Move alone or in small groups. It preys on algae and small animals on rocks.

Habitat

Hayakawa Beach, Kanagawa Prefecture

I photographed a medium-sized individual swimming alone during a dive. It wasn't very fast, it was a wandering way of swimming. The curved dorsal fin was graceful.
