Characteristics
A moray eel with a cute yellow nose tube. The body color is yellow to light brown with black-brown horizontal stripes running across it. The head is more yellow. Mouth can be closed.
Ecology
It can be seen on coral reefs and rocky reefs in shallow waters, poking out from behind rocks. Preys on small fish and crustaceans.
Habitat
Hachijojima Sokodo Beach
It was peeking out from behind a rock in a shallow sandy area about 2 meters deep. After observing it for a while, it showed its entire body. The body pattern is beautiful.
