A type of moth whose entire body is black.
The wings are black, but they are transparent enough that you can see through them. The head and antennae appear slightly blue depending on how the light hits them.
It feeds on bamboo and bamboo grass. It can be found in places where bamboo grass grows and in bamboo forests.
I photographed an adult moth resting next to a bamboo bush on the riverbed. At first glance, its entire body appeared to be completely black, but depending on how the light hit it, it appeared to be a metallic blue.
