Ecology

Inhabits rocky reefs in shallow waters. It is nocturnal and hides in rocks and burrows during the day. Eat small animals such as shellfish. During the breeding season, they can be seen moving in lines.

When I dived into the rocky area of ​​about 4 m in Arasaki and took a picture, I saw a spiny lobster sticking out from under the rock. When I looked around, I found that the tentacles were popping out from under another rock, and they seemed to be fairly close. I was warned once and was hidden under a rock, so I couldn't continue shooting.
