Characteristics
A number of dark brown thin streaks run along its body. A slightly thick white band extends from the head to the back. There are small blue spots here and there. The protrusions are rather modest, but if you look closely, they are finely branched.
Ecology
It is found in shallow waters from the intertidal zone. Hermaphrodite. eat plant matter. When stimulated from the outside, it releases purple juice.
Habitat
Miura Peninsula Arasaki
In August, I photographed a group of them clinging to rocks in Arasaki. There were many individuals of about 5 cm on the same rocks and seaweed as the green mussel. Modest blue spots are beautiful.
