Characteristics
It has a cute round silhouette and an interesting name, but it is a poisonous species. can't eat.White spots are symmetrically arranged on a brown background. There are yellow stripes around the eyes and on the edge of the shell. The iris is reddish brown. Scissors are powerful.
Ecology
Distributed from rocks to shallow seabeds. It eats seaweed and small aquatic animals. It is sometimes seen on the island. It has poison in its body derived from its food.
Habitat
Miura Peninsula Arasaki
I found it sitting still among the sea urchins on the shore of Arasaki. I was able to easily photograph it, even though it moved slowly along the rocky shore. The carapace pattern was distinctive.
