Nelima genufusca

Nelima genufusca

Characteristics

They look like spiders, but belong to a different group. The cephalothorax and abdomen are in close contact and have an oval shape. It has long legs like wires and walks slowly. They live in forests and prey on insects and earthworms. Its long legs may frighten you, but there's something about the way it swings as it walks that you can't hate.

Habitat

I found it while walking around Akagi Onuma, Gunma Prefecture. It was walking slowly along the side of the forest road, but when I illuminated it with a light, it fled toward the bush. Kumazasa grows thickly on the lakeside at an altitude of over 1,300m. The area around Akagi Onuma is about 4km long, and there are no ups and downs, making it a recommended route that anyone can walk.
