Ecology

Adults are found on coral reefs. Young fish also come to shallow tidal pools.
eat algae, etc. The juvenile fish I photographed was pecking at a tetrapod.

Habitat

Niijima Maehama

Between the tetrapods, it was swimming alone among Oyavicha. It was about 5 cm long and was roaming about 20 cm below the surface of the water. It was beautiful with a light blue glow all the way to the edge of its body.
