This long-horned beetle is completely brown and grows to about 6 cm in size.

Ecology
It can be found from early to late summer. It is nocturnal and is often active at night. It seems to hide in tree holes during the day.
Habitat
Japanese walnut tree on the Tama River embankment
I photographed this individual at the base of a Japanese walnut tree one morning in July. It quickly walked around and then flew away. It landed on the ground nearby, allowing me to observe it. It appeared to be missing a leg.
