I found a male Daurian Redstart near Tsudoi Pond in Katakura Tsudoi-no-Mori Park.

I spotted a female Black-faced Bunting up from Tsudoi Pond. It was foraging near the path while making its call. It didn't run away even while I was taking pictures.

Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker

A Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker came down close to me in the upper fields of Katakurajoshi Park. I was able to capture a photo of it closing its nictitating membrane.

After hearing the call of a Blue-and-white Flycatcher around 11:30 AM, I waited for a while and a male came out into the sun. It was pecking at a grub and eating it from a decayed log.
