A Chinese Black Swallowtail was flying along the river.
I explored the woods in Minami Asakawa Town to check for Japanese Paradise Flycatchers. I didn't see any, but I heard its call near Irisawa River. I saw Blue-and-white Flycatchers everywhere.
A Blue-and-white Flycatcher was singing in the treetops at the forest entrance. I was able to observe it in a relatively bright spot.
I photographed a Narcissus Flycatcher perched on a cedar tree.
In the middle of the forest, I heard the voice of a Blue-and-white Flycatcher again. A male was in the treetops of a tall tree. It seemed to be a favorite spot, and it sang in the same place for quite a long time.
As I was walking along the ridge, I heard a call from the bushes. There was a female Grey Bunting.
As I was going down along the stream after leaving the forest, a Chinese Black Swallowtail flew out over the river. After chasing it for a while, it landed on a leaf.
I found another Blue-and-white Flycatcher on the power line along the road leading to the interchange.
As I was walking on the sidewalk along the road, there was a Chinese Black Swallowtail. Perhaps it had just emerged from its pupa, as it did not fly away.
