Yudonogawa River in the Afternoon

A Common Kingfisher and a Daurian Redstart were perched on the same tree.

I went to see Asakawa River for a bit in the afternoon. A Common Kingfisher and a Daurian Redstart were perched on the same branch. It was before sunset, and the birds were relaxing.

Common Kingfisher

It was perched on a side branch of the Yudonogawa River, relaxing.

It was scratching its belly with its beak.

It arrived at the kingfisher's tree later.

It was grooming its feathers in the middle of the river.

Black-crowned Night Heron at Dusk

On the way home, I found a Black-crowned Night Heron while walking along the Yudonogawa River after sunset.

It's intently watching for prey.
