A Fine Weather Day in the Mid-stream of the Tama River

Water Rails and Red-legged Crakes showed up frequently.

It was a fine weather day, and I was able to see many birds in a short amount of time. In particular, Water Rails and Red-legged Crakes showed themselves many times.

The Gadwalls were relaxing several tens of meters further away than the American Wigeons. They were a bit more cautious.

The area around the water's edge seems to be the territory of this male Daurian Redstart.

A Red-legged Crake came out from the shade of the blocks. It showed itself frequently even during the day on this day.
