A male Blue Rock Thrush was singing on top of a utility pole.
I observed from Katakura Castle Ruins Park towards the upper reaches of the Yudono River. The number of winter birds seems to be decreasing, and I didn't hear the call of the Red-flanked Bluetail. Along the Yudono River, Common Teal were relaxing.
The cherry blossoms at Katakura Castle Ruins Park were in full bloom. There were many Great Tits on the branches of the cherry trees.
Many Japanese Pygmy Woodpeckers were out in the upper plaza of the park.
There were about 20 Hawfinches in the trees between Katakura Castle Ruins Park and the Forest of Gathering.
There was a Great Egret in breeding season. The ornamental feathers are becoming more flamboyant.
